MATERIALS
|
STANDARD OR REGULAR GRAPHITE: This is the most popular material. It offers high durability at an affordable price. Our standard graphite comes in a gloss black finish.

HG40 (INTERMEDIATE GRAPHITE): This is our new graphite that replaces IM6. HG40 is a 42 million modulus graphite fiber. This material is the best performance blankavailable for the price. The HG40 notation comes from the graphite manufacturor and not from the blank manufacturor. IM6, IM7, IM8, and GL3 are all just notations given by blank manufacturor to describe their own intermediate graphite, this can be confusing in understanding what you are actually using. Some rod makers use this 42 million modulus material as their high-end material, which means you are being charged a high modulus price for your intermediate graphite rod. HG40 comes in a matte green finish.

T700SX (HIGH MODULUS GRAPHITE): This is a higher modulus graphite than HG40, it has high strength in a lightweight material. T700SX graphite is 40% lighter and more sensitive than comparable graphite. The T700SX rods come in gloss blue finish and are definitely the crème of the crop.

SHX GRAPHITE: This is our new fly rod material, SHX is a 57 million modulus high strain graphite. This new technology graphite produces the lightest and most sensitive material available anywhere. SHX fly rods come in a matte blue finish.
